Happy Birthday!

Posted by Sarah on January 14, 2009

I’d just like to take a minute to thank you for all of your support.

The Northern Lights Aquatics Fish Blog’s first post went up on January 3, 2008.

We wouldn’t be here without you, so THANK YOU!

I hope you’ll continue to remain a part of our community, and that you’re still learning about fish – or at least reading interesting articles about fish.

If you ever have a question about fish, or a subject that you’d like me to address on the blog please let me know, and I’ll see what I have to say about it.

I definitely don’t know everything, but I like to learn.

Happy New Year

Jeff and I wanted to wish you and yours a happy new year, and a great new year for you and your fish!

Guest Post on The Reef Tank Blog

Posted by Sarah on December 29, 2008

Ava from The Reef Tank Blog emailed me a few weeks ago and asked me to do a guest post on her blog, and give her some suggestions for her new fish tank.

When I wrote the article Ava had already bought a 30 gallon aquarium and a Power Head Sweep 226, and knew that she wanted live reef sand in her tank.

She was also interested in macroalgae, which I know nothing about.

Ava also asked why I preferred freshwater over saltwater, and said that it was ok for me to mention freshwater and marine options as well.

So here’s my guest post – Tips for Your Tank.

Ava has since decided to get some clownfish for her tank.

I can’t wait to hear what else she does with it.

What fish, plants, coral, invertebrates or anything else would you recommend for someone who was just starting out with their first aquarium?

Fargo/Moorhead Reptile and Amphibian Forums

Posted by Sarah on August 2, 2008

I just wanted to take a minute and tell you that due to popular demand we’ve created the Fargo/Moorhead Reptile and Amphibian forums!

These forums are a part of the Northern Lights Reptile and Amphibian Forums.

Of course everyone is welcome to the forums – you just have to follow the rules if you’re going to buy, sell or trade reptiles or reptile supplies.

If you’re interested in reptiles and amphibians I hope to see you there soon!

The picture is a picture of our Nosy Be Panther Chameleon, Sully, sleeping.

There are tons of more pictures of him and our female chameleon, Sheila, on the Northern Lights Reptiles Blog.
